Below is a list of some of the past activities sponsored by the FDA. We are open to suggestions for activities for the current year.

Implications of getting involved

There are many places at Hunter and CUNY where faculty can voice their concerns--but too few of these allow for a systematic, unfiltered, direct opportunity to address the administrators responsible for providing the resources faculty need for research and teaching.

Liaison to CUNY University Faculty Senate (UFS)

Representing Hunter College at the CUNY level is important because, per CUNY mandate, faculty must be apprised in advance of many of the CUNY initiatives that affect how the university functions. The role of the UFS is to ensure that this notifcation of faculty happens in a timely manner and to provide a regular and direct conduit for faculty to address administrators in the CUNY Central Office, particularly the CUNY Chancellor.
