Learning Technologies

Software & Applications

Educators at Hunter make use of a wide variety of teaching and learning tools.

  • Blackboard is the course management system.  You can post assignments, give quizzes, grade your students, set up discussion boards, and much more!  (Accessed using a CUNY Portal ID.)
  • Respondus is software that allows you to create and manage assessments offline, and then upload the results to Blackboard. (Requires your Hunter NetID and password to download.)
  • WebGrade, allows faculty to submit final course grades via the Internet.
  • WebRoster, is the online course roster system.
  • WebAttendance allows the college to collect and record student attendance.
  • Turnitin can help deter plagiarism and educate students about appropriate use of sources.
  • Podcasting lets you put lectures and other information online for students (or potential students) to access.
