Cost of Attendance

The cost of attendance varies by Residency status, full or part-time attendance and living arrangements. Tuition and Fees are available by clicking here.

See sample student budgets for estimates of tuition, fees and expenses.

Financial Aid

To be eligible for the most available financial aid, students should consider several sources of aid.

1-The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to award federal aid, such as Pell Grants, Work Study and Subsidizes Loans, as well as New York State aid (TAP). The application and information about the application process are here: http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/finaid/appinfo.html

2- Hunter College Scholarships are available from a wide array of sources based on a variety of student criteria and goals. To be considered for all available scholarships, you must complete a Hunter College Scholarship Application

3- Additional grants and scholarships are available from  sources outside of Hunter College. Many of these are listed in the Grants Guide, and many more can be found using websites such as:

www.finaid.org
www.brokescholar.com
www.college-scholarships.com
www.fastweb.com
www.mcaa.com

More financial aid information is available at Hunter’s Office of Financial Aid.

Tuition Payment

Payment must be made to the Bursar’s Office by the due date each semester or the student’s classes will be canceled. The student will then not be permitted to re-register for classes until much later in the registration cycle, when many classes will be full.

The Bursar accepts a variety of forms of payment, including a Payment Plan managed by TuitionPay, which may be submitted via cashier, mail or drop box. Details about payment options and methods are available at Hunter’s Office of the Bursar.

Students who register in time will receive their bill in the mail, while those who register close to the payment deadline must pick up their bill from the OASIS in 209 North. Each semester the Registrar posts the schedule of registration, bill mailing and payment deadlines. Please be familiar with these dates when registering for classes each semester.
